No, we’re not going to give away the secrets locked behind our game room doors, but these frequently asked questions do offer a few valuable escape room tips and tricks for first-time escapees.
Glad you asked! While we were shut down in accordance with state and local regulations, we used the time to figure out a way to provide players a safe and hygienic way to escape once we opened again. So here’s what we’re doing to keep our gamers safe:
An escape room at Zero Hour is a fully immersive adventure game. Players enter a themed room and use elements of the room to solve puzzles and riddles to complete a mission or “escape” the room before time runs out. Teamwork, creative thinking, and a team with a diverse skill set is critical to successfully completing the mission!
Just you! Each game can have up to 8-10 people, depending on the escape room game you play. Note that Mad Tea Party requires a minimum of 2 to play. If your group doesn’t grab all of the tickets for a particular time, you’ll join forces with other escape artists to round out the game. Remember, the more brains, the merrier!
Zero Hour Escape Rooms is GREAT for groups! Whether you are booking a Minneapolis Party Bus outing or a group escape experience for you and your coworkers, Zero Hour would love to show you a good time.
If you are booking for a group larger than 10, please call us to make the reservation.
All of the Zero Hour Escape Rooms in Minneapolis are open to those eight and older. Kids under 14 must be accompanied by at least one adult. Two adults are required for all Mad Team Party games.
Prison Break and Mad Tea Party are the most popular rooms for kids, though young players have a blast in all of our rooms.
Kids under 8 play for free.
Not at all! You just need to be prepared to look high and low, think outside the box, and work as a team. Clues are everywhere!
Each room has an exit button that will allow you to walk out of the experience. No shame in pressing the button, but that will be the end of the game for you. And don’t worry- if you and your team can’t escape in the allotted time, we are legally required to let you out of the room!
Zero Hour Escape Rooms are not scary! The lights are on, you won’t be claustrophobic, and there are no clowns – promise! Note that A Quiet Place has supernatural elements and may scare some children. Kids under 14 need at least one adult to be in the room with them during the game, and kids under the age 8 play for free.
Lots of people only want to play with their friends, family, or coworkers. So here’s what to do: our games are played in teams of 8, so find a game with 8 open spots and purchase all 8 of the tickets.
If you see fewer than 8 tickets available for a game, that means someone has already booked one or more spots in that game. So if you’re booking a group and don’t book all 8 tickets, you may wind up playing with others. But don’t worry, that just adds to the intrigue!
Nope! Tickets are sold individually and you can buy as many or few as you want. The remaining tickets will be available for others to buy. If you’d like the room to yourself, you’ll need to purchase the full amount available or book a private room.
To book a private room for just you and your friends, visit the Book Now page. Find the game you want to book, click on it, and then you will see the private booking option. From there, you’ll be able to reserve the entire room for your group.
Please make sure you and all members of your group are here and in the lobby 15 minutes before there game starts. Don’t be late – this is critical for everyone’s experience, especially if you did not book the entire room. Once the game has started, you will not be permitted to join.
There is ample parking in our parking lot, so nothing to worry about there!
Games can be rescheduled by calling us at least 48 hours in advance of your booking. To reschedule please call 763-270-0653.
Due to the constraints of time lost when a scheduled game is missed, we do not offer refunds.
